“Being that Bob Ezrin did not have a Twitter account, I decided to give him a voice on a bigger platform but in a more satirical way.”
Earlier this week Kanye West engaged in a new Twitter feud with Bob Ezrin over some comments the veteran rock producer made in Bob Lefsetz’s music industry newsletter the Lefsetz Letter. Ezrin fired back online, saying that West’s new album, The Life of Pablo, is “uninspiring” and more. Only thing is, that wasn’t actually Erin.
It was actually a rapper and actor who goes by Young Platinum, who changed his profile name and photo to impersonate Ezrin. The odd story gets even odder when it turns out Young Platinum is a cousin of Kanye West’s ex-girlfriend, Amber Rose.
“Being a fan of music, it’s sometimes difficult to not be involved,” Young Platinum told Us Weekly, explaining himself. “I honestly didn’t expect this sort of hysteria to ensue…. Being that Bob Ezrin did not have a Twitter account, I decided to give him a voice on a bigger platform but in a more satirical way.”
He went, on, “Funny thing is, after a while I noticed people really thought I was Bob, and I was like, OK! I guess being someone else for five minutes is more exciting than I remembered, which is the reason I’ve decided to start pursuing my acting career…. I was surprised! Surprised at how viral my tweets became, and it’s truly a testament to the world’s love/hate relationship with Kanye West. My goal as an entertainer is to simply keep people entertained, and I accomplished that.”
It’s easy to assume West wasn’t entertained by the whole thing.
