Fashion’s newest front-row face, 16-year-old Lily-Rose Depp just landed a gig as a Chanel model. Not to make you feel like an (old) underachiever, but Chanel’s latest It-girl was born in 1999. Let that sink in.
Really, we should have seen this one coming: The teen attended the Metiers d’Art show and joined her mom, Kendall Jenner, Kristen Stewart, and more celebrities earlier this month at Chanel’s haute couture show. Of course, being the daughter of Johnny Depp and longtime Chanel muse Vanessa Paradis probably doesn’t hurt.
Lily-Rose was enlisted and photographed by Karl Lagerfeld for the brand’s eyewear campaign. “Lily-Rose is stunning, she’s a young girl from a new generation with all the qualities of a star,” Karl said in a press release today.
She’s snapped wearing round, oversize pearl Chanel sunglasses, a vampy red lip, and tousled hair for the campaign.
This might be Lily-Rose’s first Chanel campaign, but we bet it won’t be her last.
