Chris Brown took to Twitter Friday night (Jan. 29) to share his frustrations over the controversial casting for the new Michael Jackson in a new British TV comedy and the 2016 Grammy nominations.

Joseph Fiennes to Play Michael Jackson in British TV Comedy

Brown first took aim at the Grammys, tweeting, “#GRAMMY? This is probably the main reason i love being free to create any kind of music I want. Too many people kiss ass And work less.”

“I’m thankful to my fans, I am able to be the best artist I can without having to conform to the ways of my peers,” the R&B singer continued. “I also need my commission.”

Brown did not receive any nominations for his 2014 album, X. The singer is only named in the best rap/sung collaboration Grammy for Nicki Minaj’s song “Only,” which also features Drake and Lil Wayne.

A couple hours later, Brown expressed his frustration over the casting of English actor Joseph Fiennes for the role of Jackson in a new British TV comedy. The show chronicles a fabled road trip the King of Pop took with Elizabeth Taylor and Marlon Brando following the 9/11 in 2001.
